ONDC sent 4 divers to the Ontario Summer Games in Mississauga and they came home with 4 medals.

Our highlight performances came from Emma Corrigan and Marianne Stintzi.

emma-for-webEmma Corrigan had what her coaches would consider and all-time best performance on 3m capturing the GOLD MEDAL. She also finished her weekend with a SILVER MEDAL on tower and a BRONZE MEDAL on 1m. Stellar way to finish off the competitive season Emma 🙂

marianne-for-webMarianne Stintzi was our second athlete to bring home a medal from the competition.

It is always a privilege to watch Marianne dive and overhear the judges’ conversations after they are made aware of Marianne’s story. For an athlete to win a BRONZE MEDAL on 1m competing against Ontario’s top national athletes is impressive, to do it as a diver who is visually impaired is nothing short of sensational!!

Marianne continues to learn and grow as a diver, performing double somersaults and different twisting dives all while being diagnosed as clinically blind. She was an amazing role model for our younger athletes throughout the week and an inspiration to many. Congratulations Marianne on an amazing performance!
