PRESS RELEASE

NOTHING BUT PODIUM!!
Tim Lewis, Emma Corrigan and Kathryn Grant returned from the Ontario Spring Provincials
in Thunder Bay last weekend with another outstanding weekend.

Tim Lewis in the Boys 11 and under category had his second Gold Medal sweep
at provincials this year
taking home gold medals on the 1m, 3m and tower events.
His outstanding performances secured him a spot on Team Ontario as they travel
for an international competition held in Cuba in April. Congratulations Tim!

Kathryn Grant in the Girls 11 and under category also had a Gold Medal Sweep taking home gold medals on 1m, 3m and tower events. Her performances also earned her a spot on Team Ontario for the international competition in Cuba. Congratulations Kathryn!

Emma Corrigan in the Girls 12-13 category showed a steady performance over the weekend bringing home a silver medal on the 1m and two bronze medals on the 3m and tower events and got a chance to compete her brand new back two and a half tuck on the 7m. Congratulations Emma!

The criteria put in place by Dive Ontario to secure the spots on the Team Ontario was no small feat. The scores required were approximately 40 points over the national score on the events and is a very big accomplishment to make this score and the team.

Tim, Emma and Kathryn’s performances have also secured their spots on all events at the upcoming Junior National Championships that will be held in Quebec City in July.

With our diver’s solid performances over the weekend, it has given ONDC coach Brennan Villemaire the privilege to attend the international competition in Cuba
as Team Ontario’s Male Coach.

Fantastic work ONDC!
