A Huge Success with ONDC bringing home18 medals and 10 national qualifying scores.

Last weekend the Ottawa National Diving Club took place in the 2018 Ontario Winter Provincials held in Toronto. We took a team of 7 athletes, 4 of which moved to a new age category which demanded additional dives and new challenges to overcome.

This competition had a dierent overall feel to it. With our longtime coach Kathleen taking on the role of Executive Director for Dive Ontario, she attended the competition with our team but was there to ensure a successfully run meet. Instead we brought our newly acquired coach from Mexico, Rolando Prieto to work alongside head coach Brennan Villemaire!

We are very pleased to say that we fished the competition with 18 medals and 10 national qualifying scores.

A big congrats to all our ONDC athletes.

She finished her weekend with a national qualifying score on 1m and took home 2 SILVER MEDALS and 1 BRONZE MEDAL! Congratulations on a great start to the new season!

Talia was another athlete moving into the A category for the 2018-2019 season. She showed a lot of great diving over the course of the weekend and fished with a bang in her tower event earning her first national qualifying score of the season. She is coming home with a SILVER MEDAL on tower and a BRONZE MEDAL on 3m. Way to go!

Mani has worked her butt o to meet these requirements and her hard work has paid o receiving a BRONZE MEDAL in the platform event.

Finally Charlee-Mae was a rockstar all weekend! Meeting all the demanding requirements of the C category she nished her weekend with her rst national qualifying score on 1m by nailing her nal dive for 7.5’s! She is coming home all smiles along with two SILVER MEDALS and one BRONZE MEDAL!
