The Ottawa National Diving Club were privileged to send 2 of its divers to the Toronto Pan Am Centre last week for the first training camp of the season!
In order to be selected for this training camp, the athletes must have placed in the top 8 in the country at National Championships.
We had 4 divers place in the top 8 this past season.
The divers got to spend the week training with some of the best coaches in the province concentrating on basic and fundamental skills for the upcoming season.
They had the opportunity to work under Gilles, Canada’s national coach, and all of the divers gained very valuable feedback and showed great improvement over the 5 day camp.
The divers also got to spend one afternoon using the rock climbing wall in the facility.
Thank you very much Dive Ontario for putting on another great camp and extending the invitation to our divers.
They both had a great time and are fired up for the 2017/2018 season!
